Darina has a good understanding on how to co-ordinate services and things that I need, she has a very polite manner on the phone, also I was fortunate to meet Darina in person at the recent FTMA conference and she has a wonderful personality and was very easy to talk to and I look forward to working with her from my end of RFT.
My experiences of dealing with Darina have always been great, she is very efficient, professional and resolves any queries in a prompt manner. Always polite and will go the extra mile to give that total customer satisfaction that Vekta prides itself on. "The Razor installation process was well organised and very efficient in terms of time taken to install and commencement of cutting of live work in the production of trusses. We quickly moved to the frame line cutting options using the plate trenching feature, which provided immediate productivity gains in frame production at the plant.
During the initial stages we were well supported with training of Operators and on the ground support with Ed Serrano and Kallan Hair. Our Operators adapted and responded well to the new equipment and training, which saw early productivity improvements, coupled with our ability to see where we could take the development to grow the business.

"We went on a excursion with our nail plate supplier back in 2007 to view different automated saws. On this week long excursion I watched all the different automated saws in live operation in different truss plants. I kept going back to the Razor saw. My decision was made that day on the lack of cutting errors from the Razor saw compared to other saws. From the minute we signed up for the purchase of the Razor saw to when it was installed was perfect. We had many custom features to be included. All issues with the install we corrected immediately.
We went from having 7 sawyers to 2 with the Razor. Productivity was up and 5 wages were saved. Due to the accuracy in cutting and precision labelling we also had about 20% manufacturing increase.

"In 2012 we were faced with the predicament of buying our third semi-automated saw or changing to a Linear Saw. One concern was efficiency on the factory floor however a bigger issue was the problems we had endured over the years with finding employees who could cut on pre-existing saws with the efficiency and precision that was expected of us.

"I first visited the Razer 15 years ago when it was newly released. At that time the saw had some issues with accuracy which turned me away. Instead of the Razer, I settled for a Spida with Mango automation. That saw has been great, but WHS issues and insufficient speed of cutting meant it was time to modernise. "We decided on a Vekta Razer S5 to improve the efficiency of our cutting for jacks and to fill a capacity gap in cutting for two kwikset jigs.
The Razer offered all the cutting fundamentals we were looking for, using proven optimisation software, on a manageable footprint – and all at an affordable price point.
